The race to be green!

Aspen/Ecopar to fuel the Brighton to London Future car challenge

The Royal Automobile Club’s first promotion and demonstration of new clean-energy motor cars sees an all new event with a challenge for participating vehicles to use the least energy on a 60 mile route from , Madeira Drive, Brighton to Pall Mall and Regent Street, London.

Starting on the renowned motoring road of Maderia Drive, Brighton the challenge will take place on Saturday 6th November 2010. The BLFCC is not a race but a challenge to demonstrate low energy impact over the route from Brighton to London.

With the aim of the event being to use the least energy and with the lowest emissions the organisers have opted to use the cleanest fuel possible for petrol and diesel engines. Aspen and EcoPar will be the official fuel for the event due to being the cleanest petrol and diesel available. EcoPar diesel contains no aromatics, benzene or sulphur and will reduce Co2 emissions by 30 % - 50%, making it one of the cleanest diesel fuels available. Aspen is a form of alkylate petrol and environmentally there are numerous benefits for example, the formation of ground-levek ozone (smog) is reduced by 50%.
